A catastrophic flood has caused widespread devastation in Nepal. Please watch this video from our executive director, Paul Hurckman, to learn how we're responding and how you can help. We'll continue updating this page as we hear from our partners on the ground, so please check back periodically.

All of our Nepali partners and friends have now been in touch. Each is committed to working with the relief efforts in their own giftedness. Here is some of what they are already doing:
Planning medical camps for those who lost their communities and their access to clean water and who are now vulnerable to disease.
Reaching out to marginalized communities who lost their assets and may turn to human trafficking to survive.
Working through local pastors to assess needs and coordinate responses with local municipalities.
Checking in on women who they have previously helped rescue from human trafficking.
Working towards addressing community trauma and community preparedness.
Entire communities were devastated, but without cell service or electricity in the affected areas, it's difficult to know the number of dead and missing at this point.
Some of our partners have traveled part-way up the river road, until the bridges and crossings were all just gone. Search, rescue, and relief efforts are going to take time.
It is critical in this moment that we not lose sight of who our God is and what he is capable of. And, also, we need to be aware that this is an opportunity for us to demonstrate the love of Christ for our neighbors.

We have lost contact with people from nearly 57 house churches, including many leaders and families. Please pray that communication will be restored, that those who are missing will be found as soon as possible, and that our partners will have wisdom, strength, and courage as they encourage and support the affected communities.
How you can help
As our partners in Nepal respond to this crisis, please join us in prayer for their safety and wisdom. You can also help support relief efforts in Nepal by giving today.
